OP did you take it to Kwik Fit or National by any chance?

No "Linslade tyres" in Leighton Buzzard. The 2nd quote is from my daughters best friends dad who owns a garage. We do not normally use him as he is in a village a few miles away but he got a list price for the parts this afternoon.

    BTW
We normally get tyres replaced by Etyres.co.uk and have been really happy, They fit and balance on the doorstep and are at leat a 1/3 cheaper than KwikFit or similair. (Our other car is a Renault Grand scenic and the tyres are extortionate!)

Do you mean Nationwide Autocentres? National Tyres are actually quite good in my experience.

And I would recommend using Ford ones. Wishbones are a common failure on Ka's - I know a quite a few that have given under warranty. There are alot of pattern ones around - and alot of them are really cr*p and I wouldn't recommend them - Ford ones are not that dear in comparison with decent pattern ones, so you might as well go for genuine.
