it does mention accidental damage on the cover... £600 is taking a big hit on what i originally paid for. Are there ways to get them to offer more?

Why would they offer more? Their obligation is to put you in the same position you were prior to the event, not to replace your knackered old set with a new one and line your pockets at the same time.

Dacouch I think Flamecloud got confused that as you asked about a contents policy you then went on to discuss a contents policy not the warranty.

If you have accidental damage on your warranty then claim on that.
Thats what you have paid the policy for.
Claim on your house insurance and you may have to pay more next yer.

  • Cheers guys for the quick response.. im not too bothered about about what I will get back now.. My man concern is the Warranty issue, with my address being different.. Will it make a differnce that my address has changed? Yet on the warranty certificate my address is still my previous address?

The address you have declared on your warranty should not be a problem as people move address and often forget to inform the warranty company of their new address.

It might be a problem if you have moved into a really high risk area like london and they exclude it but probably not as it is accidental damage cover you have on it probably not theft cover.

Give them a ring and report the damage to them. They may ask about the different address and just be truthful with them eg you forgot or did not realise you had to tell them
