Calm down, missus, calm down. "He did this", "you said that","all I wanted is". It's no good riding the high horse.
There are two ways you can look at this (1) legal and (2) moral.
Legally, the bank is in the clear. The retailer is in the clear. End of.
Morally, yes I'd feel a bit aggrieved at having 27 transactions processed on the same day. However, I wouldn't have been caught out by having spent the money on sweeties and toys! The money would still be in my account because I would know what was coming. Now, having said that, and shown you what a !!!!!! I am, let me say that I do sympathise with you and think you have a right to say to the bank, look here, bank, this retailer or the bank has been tremendously inefficient with my money and has caused me all sorts of problems. Please, bank, be fair, don't charge me for overspending and please may I have a bit of leeway to get things straight - like a free overdraft for six months or so. I realise that I am largely to blame in not checking my statements etc. but I expected the charges, when they came, to be over a longer period. Thank you ever so much.

Yes they are allowed to this. This happened to me a few years back and now I up date my acounts daily and insert into my spreadsheet what I have spent and who to that day, it keeps a running balance so you know how much you have available as you have taken off the debit for Texaco. That way you wont go overdrawn even if the payments are taken the following month.i know what you are saying is true but surely they did not have a right to take 6 weeks back payments without notifying us that they would?Wow, I got 3 *, when did that happen :j:T:p

good post but unfortunately some banks will just say manage your money better, some will even say details are on our web site, and some will post the script to you. It is unfair though for any retailer to expect 27 payments in one day to be presented for one customer.Wow, I got 3 *, when did that happen :j:T:p
