he has got 170,000 pounds the past few days from everyone who he,s done it too, thats a lot of people! are you going to blame them all? still, think of the tax he has to pay on that

It's unfortunate that it took so long to clear the transactions but when you put your pin in the machine you are authourising them to take that money, they don't have to tell you they are taking it later. It's not the business owner's fault that you didn't allow for undrawn transations, your bank may be kind regarding the charges but the onus is on the account holder to reconcile the account.0

I am getting confused now..you appear to be suggesting this is some sort of scam as you say "he has got 170,000 pounds the past few days from everyone who he,s done it too", his bank is only taking what is due to him, there's no scam here at all, honest.
Maybe his machine was offline, maybe his bank messed up, that doesn't alter the fact that the business is owed the money that you agreed to pay.
There is no requirement at all for the money to be taken instantly, so forget any sort of claim that this money should not be paid. At best all you cna hope is that your bank will refund the associated charges and really the best hope for that is to calm down and be rational when you speak to them.
You also say "and i get bank balance every single day.", so why didn't you notice you weren't paying for any petrol?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Oh and by the way I am not blaming anyone for anything. It is not your fault that the money wasn't taken when you wanted it to be taken, however it was due and has been lawfully taken so that's all really. My only query here is why you didn't notice the transactions weren't going through.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Bank statements are wonderful inventions. They allow you to reconcile cheque stubs and debit card transactions to your balance. What did you think happened to your balance whilst checking it daily?0

Card payments can be taken by the company upto 6 years after processing, however the majority go through in less than a week.
I dont see how you could not have known 27 transactions had not gone through, odd payments can be missed but not that many. Perhaps you were hoping they wouldnt be taken.
The business has done nothing wrong, simply collected the money owed - no "scam" in that as you put it.0 -

You have had help though, unfortunately if we told you what you wanted to hear we would be wrong.
It is unfortunate that this has happened but pretending that you could in some way write off the amount or do anything else to mitigate it would have just been misleading, and in the long run been worse for you.
Read the earlier posts, at least you could try and get some of the bank charges reversed by the bank as a goodwill gesture if you can load your account enough to put you back in a good position again.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. I've got more sympathy with you than some of the other posters in this thread - if you check your balance but not the individual transactions, it can be easy to assume that everything that should have gone through has done. Obviously something has gone wrong at the garage if they have put through nearly two months transactions all in one day.
I'd agree with that speaking nicely to your bank has to be the first step - it will be very obvious that you've been caught out by an unusal situation, and they might be sympathetic.0
