Hi all, I've been in an absolute rage the last day or so. Hence little or no posting. I think it mainly due to YET AGAIN fridge saga. I ordered one from Boots over a fortnight ago, you know Boots, who I thought 2 fuggin weeks would be more than enought to get a fugging fridge delivered, paid extra for a saturday delivery and guess what.
Phone call on thursday 'sorry madam, problem with manufacturers, fridge can't be delivered so you can sit and swivel Mrs Triker because the whole b@st@rd world is making sure we tip you right over the edge about this fridge' oh and no refunding any delivery costs even though it's their fault.:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad: x 1000000000000

That, and my eldests appalling attitude has set my teeth on edge.

So I'm not a happy bunny and am not in the mood for stupid valentines day.

Anyway apart from that rant our bedroom is lovely, I am actually spending a little bit of time in here, just reading or mooching on here, whereas before we just slept in here. Obviously the same cannot be said for eldest DD aka Satan's apprentice who is currently still asleep in her disgusting pit.:wall::wall::wall:

The best bit is that whilst I cannot have my fridge, SHE has had her brand new bed delivered, except myself and OH are refusing to get her old one dismantled and this one set up due to her attitude. So I now have a mattress in the dining room and a bed in the hallway. ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHH

Thursday - childrens rooms and spare room DONE :D

Just 15 mins of filing to do this afternoon and that'll be Wednesday's list done too. :D

DH just getting his haircut then he's off to the football this afternoon so it'll just be me and the girls.

Got the M&S dine in for £20 yesterday so we've got a nice dinner when the girls go to bed.

Think you need a few deep breaths Triker and count to 10 (or 20 if you're still not calm enough!) I think a good complaint letter is in order by the sound of it.

And....I won a pair of the green monster slippers from last weeks email! Got them this morning, hence the green type! DD1 keeps calling my feet smelly monster feet now.:rotfl:

I really need to shift my backside. Feeling a bit carpy again today but sure i'll perk up. Not in the league of Nicki's DD or anything!

Need to shower then does anyone want a HHC 11.45-12.15? I won't have time to pop back start it off but someone might fancy joining me...

I'll attempt to do the bathroom and hang some washing up

Thanks, I'm never usually this angry but I am at mo and can't seem to shift it. My poor face and jaw is so screwed up and tight I probably look like I've drank a bottle of vinegar.

How do I decide whether I need one shelf or two in my utility room cupboards?!

I think... that I need one shelf in the base units, as if I have two I won't really be able to see what's in there, but could have two in the wall units where they're t eye level. Any thoughts? I really wish that the cabinets were designed so that you could have a half-depth shelf sometimes - that's what I've done in a couple of places in the kitchen so I can see in and its worked really well.

Might have to go out this afternoon to look for some baskets to keep stuff on the shelves organised

I'd go for one on the bottom and one or two on the top depending on what you've got in each cupboard. we have 2 shelves in the top ones and in some cases it's helpful and in some a pain as only smallish stuff will fit!

It might be worth looking and new technologies... solar thermal hot water or air/ground source heat pumps. I'll send you some links later (remind me if I forget!). The initial investment may be slightly higher (then again, so might the grants), but the overall payback will be bigger. Air source heat pumps have the added benefit of being able to reverse the process and work as air con! Have a look on the gas & elec board and get some advice there (but remember you have to do your research and confirm that the opinions you get are right... and they're not quite as friendly as everyone here!)

Thanks Greenbee, not sure if we can change the whole heating system for the club, but worth a look - we currently have rads in the big main hall, upstairs hall, members lounge, office, snug, small hall and snooker room... just a little bit to warm up...;) if costs work out to replace all though, might be worth it, specially if it is aircon too - it gets so hot in the summer... :D

Kaz that's what mine looks like too. There are windows everywhere holding me back. I am going to tackle them this half term. The bathroom and kitchen ones have been done since I started flying but no other. So this weekend I will do the dining room window as this is really menacing.

Morning all and happy val. Off to do lunch then start flying.
