Hi this is my first post so please be kind!!
I have just moved my pesnsion pot of £180k from a Standard Life PP to a SIPP and asked my IFA if gilts were worth investing. The rely was they could not offer such advice and could put me in touch with a stockbroker if I so wanted. Am i wrong in expecting investment advice from my IFA as all they recommended was investment into AXA or Prudential retirement funds that i think mitigates the benefit of a SIPP.
My question is simply where do I go for truly idependant financial advice with clear recommendations on strategies etc.
I am 61 with a decent savings amount so i can let the fund grow before drawing income from it.
Any advice will be much appreciated.
