Best offer for Pay As You Go wanted

I have been with Vodafone as a pay as you go customer for years and only use my phone for texting, hardly ever ring out. Currently Vodafone have packages for 150 texts for a month for £10 or £5 for 70 (or something similar) but I find 70 is not enough and £10 is far too much to pay for texting.

Any good deals around at the moment please?

Easy mobile are pretty cheap for texts without needing a minimum top up or package. You'll get £10 for registering with them through quidco.com too!

o2, 300 free texts every month as long as you top up at least £10... you could use your free texts, then when the free month expires, run down your credit (possibly with the aid of a cheap text bolt-on?), and when your credit is gone, top up another £10 and get another 300 free...

if you text all the time (not just evenings/ weekends) this is the best offer around... i have moved myself and five friends onto this tariff from old O2/ orange/ t-mobile tarriffs and everyone is delighted with it...
  • To be fair there are quite a few good deals going on in the contract world - companies are even offering free line rental.

I think T-mobile were doing a 12mth contract at free line rental for 8mths and 7.99 per month for the remaining 4 mths for 250txts and 100 mins.

    Maybe worth a look??

Thankyou Cougar, DavidJohndean and Circuit. I have looked into them all - getting bogged down with it at the moment. Will come back to it later.

Looks like the T Mobile one isn't on no more - looked like a good deal.

    Any more replies welcome.

And if you keep your eyes on O2 website they often do an offer giving away free Sims (i got 10 last time the offer was on) i have some spare so if you decide to go over to O2 pm me your address and i'll post you one.

You can also regieter with talkalot more which means if you top up £15 a month you get 300 free texts, 150 free minutes talk time off peak and weekends if you top up £30 a month you get 300 free minutes, and with O2 treats you can add more texts or talk time for free.

If you're paying £10-£15 a month you should go with a contract; I was under the impression that you weren't spending that much.

    2 questions:
    1. how do you register for talkalot more on o2 online? i know its text 'more' to 21300 for regular o2 customers, is it the same for online?
    2. the 300 texts come automatically and you keep the credit, is it the same with the minutes?

if the answer for both is yes than :j :money: (jumping for joy, that saves some of us loads)

Start jumping yes and yes :D Text "more" to 21300 or call 2425 for free.

Don't forget to register for your O2 treat (ring 2211 then chose from list) as well it might only be 25 extra texts or a few minutes extra talk time but better on your phone than not :D

I normally top up at least £15 a month i normally use up my 300 texts in the first 3 weeks then use my £15 i used to top up to do me till end of month, i very rarely use all my minutes talk time but it does come in handy when kids want to ring their dad in the evenings. (i also find myself entering silly tv competitions to use up rest of my £15 before i top up the next month lol)
