It's supposed to read "as a responsible lender" - as it's referring to the fact that our taxes have been used to bail RBS out! Hence, us the taxpayers have lent money to RBS.
You are quite right. :T :T :T

You could always send him an email?
Find out the guys name and try a few combinations of say; joe@rbs.co.uk or joe.bloggs@rbs.co.uk or maybe jb@rbs.co.uk - you get what I mean?
Might have more of a chance getting to his desk - or his blackberry Storm.Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. And there was I thinking that CEO's opened their own post every day ..oh no, that's right, if they had to deal with mail they'd be unable to be out playing golf most days during the summer or having those cosy business lunches that last all afternoon and involve drinking Chateau Petrus by the gallon . All on expenses of course...
Seriously, I don't think anyone on this board is daft/naive enough to think CEO's deal with the mail. Or maybe not...
One thing's for sure, if OP doesn't get it published somewhere or send it to the CEO's office, he'll definitely never see it. Can't remember if it's still Fred Goodwin, didn't he resign?
No need to bring your sarcasm here...Ok so we disagree that's no reason be be discourteous........
It's obvious that thousands of sarcastic letters get sent to banks, retail stores, utilities, train companies, MPs etc etc very day... and the people that receive them, having read a least a few thousand previously, don't bother to read further than the first couple of lines.0 -
I would send it if it puts a smile on your face.. it put one on mine0
