ASDA ripped me off where do i stand??

Options
not sure where to put this post but need some advice and a major moan about asda i always do my monthly shop at asda and have never had any problems with them up until now!!

i had my shopping delivered last week and when i ordered it online i authroised the payment of £94.70 to be debited from my account, so i left enough in there to cover it being taken out like i always do and have never had any problems. i had my shop delivered and kept the delivery note. 2 days later i checked my bank online to find i was almost £20 overdrawn i couldnt understand why this was as i am always so careful with my banking, so on checking i discover asda have taken out £111.61 from my account.

i dugged the delivery note out and discovered that 2 peices of meat i ordered i requested 1kg of beef and 1kg of lamb only to find that they have given me £12 worth of beef and £15 worth of lamb and charged me for it.

does any one know where i stand on this as i will now have a £20 charge taken from my bank now and i only authroised £94.70 to be debited from my account Not £111 this is a huge difference of almost £17 please somebody help me i dont know where i stand

What did they say when you called them up about it?
  • i emailed them on friday when i discovered the problem and they havent replied yet
  • They over charged you by £17.
    You are £20 overdrawn.
    They refund £17.
    You are still £3 overdrawn.

    Not really Asda's fault.

whenever you do online shopping it tells you that the actual price might be different (because it depends on what they've got/offers/substitutions etc).

bit silly to think it would be exactly the same as the estimate they gave you.

im sure she never expected it to be exacly the same as they estimated but at the same time you would never expect it to be three times the price they estimate!!
i would be very miffed too!!
hope you manage to get some of the difference refunded.

Three times the cost of the meat, not the whole bill.
