princessmoneysaver wrote: »Hi all, had an horrendous morning in YATES.
I had some IN DATE Tesco Clubcard Deals vouchers, when I checked with Tesco they said although you can't get anymore for YATES the ones I had were still valid so I took MIL with us for lunch. Went to order at till, took vouchers out to pay the cashier said sorry can't take them anymore so I said I'd checked with Tesco who said because these were in date I could use them. Cashier called manager over who became very rude & aggresive towards me, saying 'you know you can't f@@king use these so why are you trying it on' I was mortified! I turned round & said to DH we're leaving, MIL was sat at a table with the kids so I walked away to tell her we were going elsewhere, manager followed us shouting across at us to leave because we refused to pay! People were turning round to look at us, it was horrible
I have spoken to Tesco who have said to send the vouchers back to them then they will be recredited but I will NEVER step foot inside that YATES again.
Thats just awful, what happened to customer service and the customer being right. I would write and complain about his language and service infront of other customers, your mil and children. Well done Tescos for recrediting the vouchers.

questions.
Many thanks

Does that mean that store will be in touch? If so I don't want to speak to them, I mean this is the MANAGER!
I had a similar situation last year regarding an M&B pub and I researched their management structure and ended up dealing with the area manager. They offered me a free meal for eight in the end, got an apology in writing too, but never went back as like you say would not give them the pleasure, even for a meal for eight!
So sorry that happened to you, take it all the way hun. I posted on loads of websites to say how awful the manager had been and warn others, and I actually found I was not alone!!! Quelle surprise!!! Made me feel loads better though!
Good luck, but don't let it spoil your day.But there are dreams that cannot be,and there are storms we cannot weather!0 -
aww pms, that is very very wrong, try to get hold of h.o and see if they will take ur valid complaint seriously xx#JusticeForGrenfell0

PMS. If you contacted head office ( Their site gives you tthe option of contacting local one) You expect to speak to someone at head office and if its not, refuse to speak to local manager. Hope you get a result with this, he is obviously not management material.
Toni, what can I say. I thought you won a pretty pony tail ornament or such like till I read your later post :rotfl::eek::rotfl:I live and learn.0 -
If I phone them tomorrow do you think they will have access to the complaint I have just sent them, how long will it take to show on there system? We ended up walking across to local Wetherspoons but had to ask MIL to put something towards meal which I didn't want to do but didn't really have any other choice.2023 wins - Rice Krispies, Avene Micellar Gel, Barbie Toy, £20 Apple Gift Card, KFC 6 piece bargain bucket, Chloe Nomade perfume, Barbie Toy (second one), Sanctuary Spa Sleep Balm, E45 Moisturising Lotion, Trolls Hamper, 12 Tonie Characters, Sure deodorant, Good Home Utensil holder, £5 Costa Gift Card, Neutrogena Micellar Jelly, Soap & Glory Mascara, Persil capsules,0
