can u move £1000 from account 1 to 2 to 3 or does it need to be sourced externally?0

Can come from anywhere, inncluding transfering it between your halifax/bos accounts, in which case it's almost instantanious and then you move your money back out again to earn interest elsewhere."Click the pennies. Collect the pounds."0

If you don't mind me asking bristolleedsfan, did you apply in branch because you'd been declined online ?Originally Posted by Dr Cuckoo3

Nope I applied online on the Sunday evening that everyone else on here started applying, first application was automatically accepted, as was the case with many others on here I made immediate 2nd and 3rd applications, these were stated to have been received. On Wednesday following the Sunday I went to a Halifax branch to deposit some cheques, adding other funds so as to deposit 1000.00, I asked how many accounts could be opened, it was confirmed that three could be opened, I mentioned that I had applied for two others, was informed no sign of them, was asked " Would you like to apply for the other two now" to which I replied :T
Statements arrived Saturday, i noticed that statement period is account opening date- 2nd March which included 1000.00 cash i paid into a machine on 1 March in respect of one of my accounts so i thought best to transfer 1000.00 back into that account so as to not risk missing out on that 5.00 payment as the statement period has included 1000.00 x 2 payments into one statement period.0 -

No, but the evidence from what I got at the start of March (see here) shows that it is allowed.0 -

Hmm. I suspect there *was* a sign of the other two but they wanted you to re-apply so they'd get their bonuses...shame your credit rating will now have *six* searches against it :eek:0 -

Both Abbey and Halifax told me makes no difference unless someone is making say 30 credit applications in a very short space of time and that the main important thing is not to miss any repayments/payments. HSBC and A+L Current Accounts accepted August 2008,+ A+L Credit Card accepted August 2008, Abbey C/A accepted December 2008, Nationwide second Current Account accepted January 2009, Halifax C/A x 3 accepted February 2009. :eek:0 -
Hi
I'm lovin' this offerI've opened 3 accounts. I'm still confused about the best way to get £1K through them each month whilst minimising the interest lost on the money and also minimising manual effort on my part. Can anyone advise what they are doing / going to do?
Is it true that I can transfer up to £500 to and from A&L using the faster payments sytem? Or should I just open a Halifax savings account (none of which look very good)? I'm thinking I could set up a standing order to move £100 back and forth each day to mimimise interest lost. Or is this over complicating things? What is everyone else doing?Proud to be a MoneySaver!
