I'm looking at getting a Blackberry Bold on O2.
The deal says -
O2 Unlimited Blackberry 600
(18 months)
600 mins Any
Network Anytime + 500 Texts + Unlimited Data Usage
£35.00
14 months half price
I couldn't find much info on this on the o2 wesite.
Does anyone know if the above includes push email & browing the internet?
Thanks in advance.

on the o2 site- where?0 -
Unlimited data should give you the push email and internet browsing, but I'm sure someone else will confirm for sure. I suppose it's subject to the usual fair usage policy though.Norn Iron Club Member No. 252 :beer:0

hi where did u find this deal????0

The deal is on mobiles.co.uk
What I mean is that I couldn't find details of this deal on the o2 website. For example, what does Unlimited Usage mean?0 -
"Unlimited Data" sounds like the unlimited data bolt on that's free of charge. This, won't work on your Blackberry. You'd need the blackberry bolt on.. that too is free of charge on £35pm tarrifs or an additional £10.00.
If you're taking a blackberry, I'd assume it'd be a blackberry bolt on but looking at that, it doesnt mention blackberry bolt on. - Watch out.
Unlimited on o2 is infact unlimited. Subject to a "fair usage", but there is no real limits. Basically if you use 5gb a month, i'm sure they'd write a nice letter.

Blackberry bolt on with o2 is subject to a fair usage policy.

* BlackBerry Unlimited
Fair usage policy applies (200Mb a month). Tariff excludes O2 Active (WAP) browsing, using your device as a modem and web browsing on BlackBerry Connect™ devices.0 -
200 meg doesn't seem much ? I tested the first batch of BB for our dept and got through 10 to 15 meg in a few days just messing around and seeing how our system read the data. . .0

Blackberry's compress data so you use far less on a blackberry than you would on a normal phone.
I don't believe there is a fair usage policy anymore, but an excessive use policy. Basically if you're consistently using loads then you will get a text advising you to cut down a little, if you carry on doing it and it takes the mick a bit then you would get a phone call saying that services will be restricted if it continues. This is how it is on normal unlimted data packages now but I can't guareetee its the same for blackberry bolt-ons.Work like you don't need money,Love like you've never been hurt,And dance like no one's watchingSave the cheerleader, save the world!0 -
Thanks for all the replies.
To be honest I'm not worried about any fair use policy. I just want to have the capability to surf the web if needed to.
Also, push email would be essential on a Blackberry.
So am I right to assume that the above £35 per month deal includes surfing the web and no push email? and that for both surfing and push email it would cost me £45 per month.
Can anyone else help to confirm this.
Thanks a lot.0 -
