I am thinking of switching my ISP to Fast4.net
I have just visited the site and have been looking through the FAQ's.
One of the question is the following:
Q: Does the Fast4 service support 128k ISDN?
A: No, the Fast4 service supports only 64k ISDN connections. There are no plans at this time to introduce 128k ISDN connections
Can anyone clarify what this means? Is this to do with how secure a website is (i.e. online banking etc)?

No this is about whether you can use an ISDN line (instead of a regular phone line or ADSL) ISDN is not commonly used now except in areas where broadband is not available - It requires installation by a BT engineer and gives 64k or 128k (but not in this case!) connection speeds. It is a bit faster than a normal modem - 56k and has many less errors so seems faster than you would think.
It is not normally a cheap option !To infinity and beyond!0 -
The answer is simply stating that they support 64k but not 128k ISDN but this has nothing to do with the security of online banking etc.
If you want to learn more about ISDN click here for more information.
