Vanquis doubled my credit limit

www.vanquis.co.uk

Never had that happen for 20 years! Yes it was only £250 and it jumped to £500 (little note printed on my 3rd statement) but it was still a nice surprise. My bills have been around £150 and I've cleared them in full. I'd move all my CC use to them but since they don't have online statements I'll just have to throw them the odd bit of business. I like to check what's happening with my card and waiting a month to find out is a bit old fashioned. I've been stuck with a £600 Capital One limit for nearly 10 years and it's become almost unusable due to the limitation. If the Vanquis goes to £1000 I may give up on online billing (which I have to do with C1 as I have to keep an eye on the damn tiny limit).

Still, I'm grateful for the vote of confidence from Vanquis. Just watch out for that APR!

  • Well done on the increase!

Vanquis did the same with me £250 to £500 after 3 months and have just increased my limit to £1250 after 7 months. I pay balance off every month.

Maybe the same will happen with you!!

Thats quite a large increase. I've noticed a few people's have risen from £250-£500 then upped to £1250.

My Brother has Vanquis and he has just had he's increased from £250-£500 on his last statement, so in 3 months he may of had his increased to £1250 as well. I hope so for he's sake.

I wouldn't be scared! You will not know unless you apply for one. Give MBNA a go. 1 search isn't going to matter.

Keep us informed if you apply.

i think vanquis are better than capital one classic becoz capital they raze your limit only once after the 4th statement.the only problem with these cards its only the high interest rate, 39% or 34%
