I made up a batch of savoury mince, using mince, onion, grated carrot, other veg that is to hand, handful of oats and lentils to stretch it and some stock cubes and water. I then divide into four scoop portions to freeze. This is the base for whatever I want it to be when I come to use it, i.e.;
bolognaise - add a can of campbells condensed tomato soup, half can of milk and some bisto powder.
chilli - same again plus kidney/baked beans and chilli
Shepherds pie base, just top with potatoes or potato/other root veg mix.
Savoury mince topping for jacket potato.
You can use more than one pack of mince at a time depending on how much freezer space you have to save time and money.Second purse £101/100
