I have noticed barclaycard searches are only recorded on my equifax record and not on experian. But both contain account management information. I have come to conlcude if target only those companies that only use equifax my chances of being accepted is 90%

Can some who has a recently applied for a Barclaycard confirm that Barclaycard used EQUIFAX for a credit search, but does supply account management information to both EQUIFAX and EXPERIAN! :money:

Barclaycard issued me a card a few months ago and they only searched Equifax.

Iv'e had a Barclaycard for years and periodically (dont ask why I dont know and never asked) and they have done searches on me with Equifax, also they update my payment record monthly with Equifax.

I have 4 Barclaycards (skycard, platinum, premiership MC & MC). All 4 cards were accepted and only checked via equifax, although they show monthly on my Experian file, but all the initial applications only went through Equifax IYKWIM.

I have nothing on any of them, so am shutting down my premiership and MC asap.

Always found Barclaycard offer excellent credit limits.

One thing I found odd about Barclaycard credit limits is when I have asked in the past to up it, I have always been refused. Then 2 or 3 days later I get a message that it's gone up. Over the years this has happened 2 or 3 times.

As of Oct 2005 Barclaycard searched only Equifax but report to both. In relation to question of a cc company that searches only Equifax I applied to Marbles online last week and they searched only Equifax. (I have checked Equ & Exp since) Not brilliant score 463 on Equifax but got accepted by email the following day after being refered on the instant decision. Experian score noticably lower so researched different forums to find Equifax only search before trying for card. Marbles 12.9 & 6 months 0% BT.
