Which phone next on upgrade? W800i?

Due for upgrade next week and contemplating which phone to ask for next, I was thinking about a Sony Ericsson, either the W800i or W900i and wanted peoples thoughts and comments on these if they have one. Also what about a Nokia 6270? Or is there any other Nokia's that have a 2 meg camera? Wanted a phone that has a 2 meg camera, decent memory (preferably with memory card capability) and can hold mp3s, I'm thinking W800i would be best and as it's been out a while I can hopefully push for 12 months half-price line rental, if not I'll just get a PAC and mover me thinks.
Forgot to say don't want a phone that's too big or chunky. Cheers.

Like what? One of the other things I wanted was the ability to have different profiles like you can on Nokias - can you do this? Also what's the walkman software like to easy?Rikki wrote:I have the w800i. Its a nice phone but lacks some of the features I loved on my previous ericssons.2p off is still 2p off!0 -
Hi, I have the Sony Ericsson K750i which doe's exactly the same as the W800i it is a fantastic phone and Media Player, this is my first Sony phone and i soon learn't to navigate through the menus, Just remember this phone doe's exactly the same as the W800i (and is in my opinon a better colour than the W800i,) it comes with less memory but shop on e bay and i got a 512 memory stick for only £17.00.Cashback earned since joining MSE:-Greasy Palms £372.83,Topcashback £57.15, R-Points 735 points, Cashback kings £131.28,My Shopping Rewards£37.30, Reward Circle 540 Points, Quidco £163.31:TPlay To Win!0

Problem is on Voda comes in silver and I prefer the black one, would take it if they gave me a considerably better offer.2p off is still 2p off!0

I'm holding out for the SE P990i, it's gonna be one hell of a phone with everything you can think of.
It is a bit big though, which is the down side. Also the screen is smaller than the SE P910i. Smile, you only get one life, LIVE IT.0 -
Dont hold out for a good retention deal with vodafone, the best they could offer me was the n70 for £100 and my spend with them was about £50 a month, if your ok to wait a bit the 6280 is coming sometime soonish its been put off quite a few times or you mention the 6270 i have that phone and its been excellent so far, i gave up waiting for the 6280 and jumped ship to 02 to get my 6270.The more i save the more i can spend:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:0

I know I had a real struggle last year getting a good deal, but oddly before Xmas I rung up for my brother and got free K750i and 12 months half price without any arguement at all! I was very suprised! We'll see what they say, might give them a call tonight...2p off is still 2p off!0

It does do exactly the same I agree, apart from the fact the the 512mb memory comes as standard to the W800i - saving you the extra £17.00 or more.
I have also had Nokia's and after reading various posts on the site I decided a change and went for the W800i - and I am so glad I did. The phone itself is easy to use and has all the options that a Nokia has (profiles included!) It also has some extras such as the melody maker thingy!
It is really simple to transfer songs onto the phone via the USB lead supplied and you can even use the songs as ringtones - which will save you a fortune on those horrible ringtone ads!0 -

The 6280 looks very nice and decent functions, shame it is only available on 3 at the moment, otherwise I would have tried to bag me one.2p off is still 2p off!0 -

I would stress to keep trying as when my contract was up in October I wanted the new W800i (as per my last post!) and my supplier, T-Mobile said that they would charge me £60.00 for the phone - I could'nt believe it and when I later found out that they were offering the phone to new customers for free I was outraged.
Luckily I did'nt sign up for a further contract as I was not prepared to fork out £60.00 on a phone and said to the advisor I wanted to cancel the contract. A few days passed and T-Mobile rung me up and said would I reconsider, I said possibly and asked them to offer me a deal that was reasonable. They not only offered me the phone for free but also gave me 50% discount on line rental for life, a free bluetooth earpiece and £20.00 highstreet vouchers!!!!
Now I only pay £12.00 a month for 300 min (all networks) and 100 text messages!!! So it is worth sticking to your guns and not following the norm!0
