last minute package holidays

i know martin says that 'teletext is still king' when it comes to last minute package holidays - but i find that the advertised deals are never actually bookable - esp at peak holiday times e.g. half-terms etc. i'd like to fly out somehere this weekend - does anyone think they know who is the best last minute package holiday provider?

available from evening of feb 10 to morning of feb 20. anywhere warm (excl spain & canaries). any uk airport. 2 adults. £500max. min 3* accommodation.
  • So you can fly as late as 20 Feb? Are you sure you don't want Canaries (as really for guaranteed warmth this is the cheapest-Egypt is the other area but will be WAY over budget).

Other areas such as Tunisia MAY just scrape in but you're not guaranteed a week of sunshine-maybe the odd showery day-highs 15-19 Celcius? Let us know the sort of temps you want.

  • There is NO LIVE one week availability to Cancun/Egypt/Kenya this weekend -IT'S SCHOOL HALF-TERM!

Please-this IS A WIND-UP??! Kenya/Cancun/Egypt-FIVE HUNDRED QUID for 2 pax!! Please think about what you ask for before you post....

Honestly....do you really think a Tour Operator needs to sell at £250 a head for Kenya/Caribbean?

I think some of the quotes sava/sloppy have given you are great. This weekend is a nightmare. Probably the good work the'yve done yesterday is now to no avail as the prices will have gone up/& or gone.

Sorry to be blunt but YOU HAVE NO TIME to slowly make your mind up. You need to book now or you'll get nowhere. Only 4 days to go AND a half-term....why oh why are you hanging on. Get something booked.

  • But...mhibbard,

You're wasting your own & everyones time! Please provide a link for Cancun/Kenya/Mexico, etc....there is nothing for these destinations for this weekend. May be you are very naive....but £250 pp Cancun/kenya (?!!!!!!!) for a Half-term weekend?

You're getting people searching for stuff that is not there & any one with any sort of savvy would know it's not realistic for the budget you want.

Savapenny/Sloppy do great work on here for free & I feel you're abusing their good nature by asking for things that are unrealistic & don't exist. Book NOW or you'll lose out...rant over!
