    paypal allows a chargeback to happen if the item isnt received within a reasonable time,

    and ebay also allows a complaint to take place........
    add to that the threats and abusive emails you get for still not posting an item two weeks after payment is 'sent'

    this scares some sellers into posting an item they shouldn't do as payment has not cleared

    also, add to that, 'cleared' isnt cleared in the grand scheme of things, a colleague in work had a cleared e-cheqe (took nearly 3 weeks), then a fraudulant transaction for that e-cheque shortly after posting, something that is still ongoing now a month later
    money saving my @rse.
    I've spent 10x as much as I would if I had never discovered this website :-)
