"If you take out Tesco life insurance online they are offering 4500 clubcard points - which if you swap for any of the Deals is worth 4 times the amount (£180!)."

Nickers, could you please (or anybody for that matter!) tell me where you can view or find out the 'deals'. Somebody told me once there was a brochure with these deals in. Where can I get hold of one of these?

    Many Thanks

The points offer seems to have changed now it's only 2500 points and here's the current T&Cs

I have been lucky then, did this last year in my name, paid £5.00 premium, got 3500 points and cancelled. Before Xmas applied for the same policy in Mr T's name, paid 2 x £5.00 in premiums and got 4500 points before cancelling.

Will change them into deals this quarter, and take the family to London or York for long weekend. I've just sent for the Ramada Jarvis and Marriott brochures. So I can see the hotels properly and make a choice.

WOW, thanks for this, hubby has been putting off getting life insurance as he didn't think we could afford it, but for £5 a month he could get nearly £30K of life cover which would give me a breathing space if anything happened to him.

    Hi

I was just wondering if anyone else was having problems getting their free 4500 clubcard points, I have now paid two monthly premiums and not received the points. I contacted clubcard and was told that the points would be awarded 1 month after the first payment was taken i.e. the 17th Feb, however still no points.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

I applied back in November last year. The first premium went through early December. I had problems getting the points, because my Clubcard is a credit card, and Norwich Union would not accept the Credit Card. I had to go to my local branch, apply for a temporary card and then give the number to Norwich Union. Finally, after a lot of hassle, I got the 4,500 points credited to the account.

I would point out, that when I applied, the promotion was 4,500 points to be credited one month after the first payment was taken.

If you took out the policy after a certain date, the points are going to be awarded in tranches.

    Hope this helps.

Thanks Dollywops - I took out the policy at the same time as you so should get them all at once - will get back onto them.

I tried to apply for this is December but finally gave up yesterday and withdrew my application. I've ended up feeling they must think I'm at deaths door as they applied to my GP for a report then told me I was due to have "further tests" - news to me! I had to see the GP to sort it out!

i applied for this when the 4500 points offer was on, it took ages to go through. they've had 2 premiums but both were in feb so i suppose i have to wait until march 3rd to get my points - BUT i only wanted the points to buy 2 tussauds annual passes! they just sent points coupons out so the next lot won't be sent out until mid-end may but you can't apply for a tussauds pass after may 1st as they're stopping doing them (i just read this on another thread on this board). bah humbug!
