Tesco £45 clubcard points

If you take out Tesco life insurance online they are offering 4500 clubcard points - which if you swap for any of the Deals is worth 4 times the amount (£180!).
I took out the minimum amount which costs £5 per month, covers you for about £25k. I got my points pretty quickly afterwards although when questioned they did say points would be allocated over the next 12 months, presumably so you can't just cancel the policy. I haven't tried cancelling it but you could if you've received your points - I couldn't find anything to say you have to give them back.
I converted my £45 clubcard vouchers to the Hotel Deals and got £180 worth of vouchers for a 2 night hotel stay.

  • I applied the other day. Hope I don't have to wait a year for the points though.

Did this a few months ago when I was looking for Life insurance anyway. Tesco were a pretty good deal as it was ut the extra points swung it.

Joined in Septembe, points appeared on November's statement.

Now just got to decide what to spend them on ;D ;D

If you really can't find them, phone them up and they will re-credit your account with the points and re-issue them as vouchers in the next quarterly mailing. Useful if you haven't got round to spending them, as the vouchers last for 2 years, and presumably no longer.

The deals tokens are only valid for 6 months, and as I have £5.00 in tokens which I didn't need to use, I must find out if I can send back those for another time, too.

With most life companies, they will perform a preliminary review of your proposal based on height/weight and answers to primary health questions. If you come up OK on those, you won't have to have a medical. Even if you do come up slightly adverse on the primary questions or are a bit overweight, they may charge a slightly higher premium without a medical, or they may go for a medical or write to your doctor for a reference instead.

    Hi

I was just wondering if anyone else was having problems getting their free 4500 clubcard points, I have now paid two monthly premiums and not received the points. I contacted clubcard and was told that the points would be awarded 1 month after the first payment was taken i.e. the 17th Feb, however still no points.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

this seems to be an ongoing offer rather than a Grabbit so moving this thread to Shop but don't drop
