I think that I indicated quite clearly which you should purchase. In posts #5, #8 & #12.

    What were you thinking?

    There's 2 options.

    1. Put them on ebay. You can get some decent prices there as long as you're not too greedy and describe them properly. Don't just put 'memory 2x1Gb'. Put as complete a description as you can and any part numbers, including a a picture if you can do that. Also give them 10 days sale time.

    2. Ask the supplier if you can swap them out for the right stuff. I doubt you're the first person to do it, tbh. IIRC there was something in the 'distance selling directives' of the EU, (part 6.1 I think), that meant people who sell on the 'intertubes' had to accept returns as long as you return within 7 days. However, they can charge a re-stocking fee. Might still be your best bet.

BTW, you won't get anywhere with a negative attitude dude :( If you were unsure you should have asked the supplier, not some private individual on here who is, at the end of the day, just trying to do his best to help.

To be fair, I think that he was referring to himself.

God, i'm really sorry if i in anyway came accross as being negative towards those trying to help!

I was calling myself a money spending idiot and just wanted to clarify that the RAM modules weren't compatible in case anybody else made the same mistake.

I managed to get some RAM module's and the retailer had confirmed they will refund as they also told me those that they sold would be compatible!

Thanks for all of your advice on the Techie board guys, I'm always amazed how helpful people are and how quick people are to help out.

OK! No problem. Simply a misunderstanding on my part then :)
