Is BT Home hub any good for xbox360

I currently have Virgin broadband, quite slow but fast enough for my needs. My hubby wants to connect his xbox online, is the homehub from bt compatible?

I've read that much I've confused my self !!

What we're hoping to do is connect the xbox with the ethernet cable, laptop wirelessly and get a usb adapter for the pc - can someone advise me if this will do the job?

Thanks

  • Should do the job OK, yeah. With mine I've got the laptop, the PC, the PS3 & two internet radios wired in, seems fairly reliable although the hub invariably needs re-booted once or twice each week. There's a new black hub with extended range, seemingly, that might suit your needs better.

i use the black homehub 2.0 i think, not fussed on the wireless N as its seem very unreliable drops quite a lot, stuck it back to b/g.

I have my xbox 360 connected with the ethernet and my laptop connected with ethernet (get much better speeds) the modem sits under my desk in the room and is always on.
Whatever u do dont buy the over priced xbox wireless adapter def not worth £60 imo.

Stick with ethernet if u want a solid connection and u wont be dissapointed
  • Home hub 1.0 was not great for Xbox live but the V2.0 is fine. Just set it so the uPNP is on and thats all.

    Sime
  • My friend has it for the PS3 and he has no problems what so ever
Better to understand a little than to misunderstand a lot.
