Wanted suggestions for NONE iron bedding

Over the years we used to buy Dorma or M&S bedding and never gave it a second thought. Bought it, washed it & put it on the bed & it always looked good. Bought the poly/cotton mixes which were supposed to be NONE iron and they were NONE iron.
A couple of year back we thought we would renew all the bedding in the house starting with our master bedroom and bought Dorma with two sets of everything costing a small fortune. But however they were washed the duvet cover looked creased. Eventually we complained to the store and they agreed to a full refund to include all the bedding, matching curtains and throws we had bought to co-ordinate. Phew.
Next we bought some Next bedding, a deep colour, and however we washed that we found it caused us to itch quite badly. We spoke to the Sleep council who put us on to various bodies until eventually we found that darker bedding dyes are not always washed out at manufacture and this can be a known cause of irritation.
By now we were paranoid wanting medium colours, NONE iron so bought M&S rich red colour Supima that says NONE iron. We had this on our bed for a week or two and then bought a very rich total overthrow as we felt the duvet cover looked creased and despite light ironing.
So now we want to relegate the Supima bedding to the spare room and just do not have a clue where to find bedding that really is NONE iron, NONE itch.
Any thoughts would be useful and sorry about the long post!

Forgot to ask as well!
The Supima fitted sheets do not stay fitted as the elastic seems to be weak. Our other bedding has much stronger elastic and stay in place. Is weak elastic typical of M&S bedding in these days of poor quailty control?A retired senior partner, in own agency, with 40 years experience in property sales & new build. I never iron bedding anyway (and don't know anyone that does)
I buy 100% cotton bedding with a minimum 400 thread count.0 -
Yeah, I've never ironed bedding either.
I've also never had quality items so no idea about M&S.
Is it really that important? Who sees it anyway, you can always iron it JUST on the days that Hello magazine pop round for a photoshoot.0 -

I do - I thought most people do:eek:
I've just bought some 100% bedding with 400 thread count - it feels gorgeous but looks awful as its so wrinkled.0 -
Have you got a Dunelm shop near you? If not they have an internet shop
www.dunelm.co.uk They do non-iron bedding at pretty reasonable prices. I usually get their stuff for my son's bed. I do tend to iron my stuff, but just a quick once over really. I've got that sort of satin effect bedding from Next and it takes minimal ironing.LHS No 2220 -

Mine doesn'tI line dry it where possible, or otherwise give it a good shake and dry it flat/hung over the dining table chairs.
No point ironing it - it would be wrinkled after one night of sleeping on it.
I've never known anyone that irons bedding. Strikes me as a complete waste of time0 -

oops hit thanks by mistake!
Thats what i meant, it looks really wrinkled as soon as you lay on it.
I agree it may be a waste of time to some but i think it looks lovely when the bed is made up nice.0 -

a top tip if you iron bedding is to buy a couple of sleeping bags and sleep on the floor. Cuts down on washing and ironing over time, I don't think we've had to change the bed in nearly 6 years now. My backs killing me mind, but the bed looks pristine.....0
