Hiya Ten, what you have given and what you can give to your daughter, money can never buy. I am not a great practicer of this belief either as I always default to the 'materialistic perspective' that I have when it comes to fullfilment. But we all know the best things in life are free. You know £1 million could never buy a smile that a baby gives you for the first time.Do you know what Skint_Spice - you are absolutely right, thank you that was just what I needed.
I am incredibly proud of her, because not only is she studying for a degree, she is doing it whilst suffering with chronic neck and back pain, which she has had for 7 years and also dyslexia!
She is my best friend and I am hers - so all in all I am very lucky.

Sorry, a bit off the beaten track. I think what I was trying to say that say for example when I realised I had 48K of debt, I could have quite easily said in a childlike way "I want my mum"; mums can do anythingHiya Ten, what you have given and what you can give to your daughter, money can never buy. Morning all
Tenmah - Chin up, when's her graduation? You must be very, very proud.
Happy birthday Skint - hope you have a fab day
Well DD1 boarded her coach to Wales at 8.30am, she seemed to be the only one not in a posh ski jacket with the lovely new suitcase (but did she care? No!!! Did I care? No!!) Just as well really, the way the driver was chucking the cases into the storage thingy :rotfl: I shall miss her like crazy but she'll have a fab week.
I've an overwhelming urge to go to Ikea - luckily the nearst one is about 50odd miles away so I shan't bother."Start every day off with a smile and get it over with" - W. C. Field.0 -

Good morning.
Happy birthday skint-spice.
Tenmah - a loving base and encouragement is what you have given and that is priceless. My marriage broke up 2 weeks after DD1 started uni. The grand plan was that we were going to pay her way but that obviously went pear shaped. But she always new where I was.
Today I must do some cleaning too. Need to get dressed first though.:D0 -
Hi Buffy
Thanks for the suggestions - I do already do daily clicks and free daily scratchcards. Also surveys etc but will have a look at the free bingo as well.
Assuming your name is because you are a Buffy fan - we went to a Buffy convention and met Xander and his real life twin brother, Joyce, the man who played Gru (sp?) and.......David Boreanaz!! We had photos taken with them and they were all so funny (apart from David who didn't have time to breathe really, it was just photo after photo for him!)OD [STRIKE] £2600 [/STRIKE] £0 :j Loan [STRIKE]£9500.00[/STRIKE] £0 :j Car [STRIKE]£3150[/STRIKE] £0 :j Moving Costs [STRIKE]£1300[/STRIKE] £0 :j Savings £1150 :j

Can you sit down with a nice coffee and flick through their catalogue instead?
