morning all. Sun is coming out to melt away the last of the snow and also the frost from overnight.

OH was up really early (before 7) and so I've been awake since then listening to him wandering around before he left around 7.15.

Today - need to test a recipe for tomorrow night, do some AQA, take Charlie out and might dust the bedroom.........might.......don't want to overdo the housework this weekend! :rotfl:

    Morning All

Bit down today - I was hoping I would get the children's tax payment of about £500, but I looked at my P60 for that year and my tax code was 702H, which apparently means I got it at the time - so that ends that dream!

With my daughter's graduation this year, that money would have come in handy. It is not a cheap thing to graduate apparently!

I'm still waiting to see if I get it tenmah but had to apply with my ex seeing he got paid more at the time. It'll be a wee bonus if something appears but I'm not counting on it.

is life not cheaper for you after she graduates though - assuming she gets a job? something to look forward to!

To be honest I haven't been able to afford to help her at all, which makes me feel like the worst Mum ever - some parents pay for everything, I can't even afford to pay for a weeks shopping for her!

Yes I suppose if she gets a job, she will pay me keep, but that seems wrong after I couldn't help her.

It is the actuall graduation ceremony that costs lots, she even has to pay £35 to go to it! Then on top of that is the gown, photos, travel costs etc etc.

Going to stop thinking about it, as I can feel the tears coming! Need to stop feeling sorry for myself!

Don't cry tenmah, just be proud of her and what you've both achieved - I'm sure you've supported her in lots of other ways. x

Do you know what Skint_Spice - you are absolutely right, thank you that was just what I needed.

I am incredibly proud of her, because not only is she studying for a degree, she is doing it whilst suffering with chronic neck and back pain, which she has had for 7 years and also dyslexia!

She is my best friend and I am hers - so all in all I am very lucky.

Thanks for taking the time to reply to me.

I have just spent an Hour doing daily clicks.

    ugh.

Ooo tenmah - do you do all that? well not the daily clicks - they are good but time consuming, what about free bingo? (I have made 11 quid so place about 7 still sitting in my account)

if you want details let me knowxxx
    Nevertheless she persisted.
