I'm too fisted to buy anything like that though these days - it would be akin to someone in the Highlands buying a bikini! :rotfl:

These are the ones my daughter has just bought for me BB. She got them from QVC and I think theyr were slightly cheaper than those.

Of course since I have had them, we haven't had any snow or ice so I can't confirm if they are any good, but there were a lot of good reviews on QVC.

Probably worth buying as an anti-ice talisman then... ;)

My hubby just bought some of those (slightly different though) and has worn them loads in the snow, they are fantastic!

PS: How the hell has this already reached 23 pages when it's only 12.15?

BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRr..................I just went out the back door and chucked some salt down behind the back wheel of my car to maybe get rid of some of the sheet ice directly behind it (I ain't venturing anywhere near the sloping bit!) -a bit bolt horse stable etc, I know, but it's bloody freezing out there!

I wonder that now we have had a seriously cold winter whether we might get a decent summer? Would be good wouldn't it :)

Well I still havent pulled the wheelie bin back up the drive since they emptied it yesterday, its starting to get really windy out there now though so I should go and get it before it goes walkies down the street.

Living on a hill has nice views but when the wind gets up it could blow your bluumin head off!!!!
But these things take time, I know that I'm, the most inept that ever stepped.
