We write with reference to your letter dated 2nd February and the money which you are claiming on the above account. I would like to bring to your attention that firstly contrary to your claims this is the first correspondence we have received from yourselves since this account was passed through to the CCCS to deal with on a debt management plan. Secondly we find the co-incidence that this letter arrives the same week that we phone credit services to enquire about a full and final settlement rather unbelievable.

As discussed with your advisor we have been on a debt management plan for the last 20 months and continued to pay into this account to clear the balance, however since you refuse to freeze the interest like all of our other creditors this balance continues to increase. We can confirm that we are unable to offer to pay the money which we owe in full. However, I can raise £1032.37 and I want to offer this an ex-gratia payment in full and final settlement of the account. This offer is made on the clear understanding that, if accepted, neither you nor any associate company will take any other action to enforce or pursue this debt in any way whatsoever and that we will be released for any liability.

We also request that, if accepted, you will make an entry on a credit reference agency file relating to the above account as "satisfied" in full. Payment can be made within 2 weeks of receiving your written agreement of this offer and method of payment.

obviously I have put bits in at beg and end too

Sally - To be honest I think I'd take out the "personal thoughts" from point 2. You just need to say that this is the first correspondance you've had and what your offer is...I think I'd be inclined to offer a round sum of £1000 too.

Good afternoon everyone, it's snowing heavily here in Aberdeenshire, oh is on his way home from work, should take about 25 mins - he left the office 2 hours ago! Seemingly everything is at a complete standstill, cars abandoned etc. Hope he gets home soon.

So I intend to go nowhere until this snow has cleared, enough food in the house to keep us going til at least Monday!! :p
  • Things all pretty good actually.

Things with DH have been mostly improving (more of a pm conversation i think)
and the kids are good. DS has stopped biting his nails and getting stressed about nursery, which is good. He's a bright little boy. DD is good-she's a very expressive child!

Job is good too, so well, all good!
    How about you?
