getting tyres

i get next to new tyres from an old garage. they get tyres from germany who have a higher tread threashold than we have here, i pay £13 for 2 continental tyres (or any other make they have). germany have to have different depths in treads but we the underdogs of the world can have bigger tread depths if you know what mean.…

Try driving up snowy mountains in a car with 1.6mm left on the tyres! In the Alps, and in Scandanavia, lots of people change tyres in the Autumn when they get below 4mm. Some will keep the part-worn ones for the summer or have a spare set of wheels, but lots of people change twice a year, hence the big volumes of part-worn tyres coming over here.
