I may have been conned myself by my landlord then as I asked him and he told me that I wasnt allowed to ask for a rebanding as it was his house - this was over 12 months ago now - you live and learn eh!

If council tax is calculated on the basis that you pay for 10 months and get 2 months free, why if you rent for 6 months only will they not apportion the amount or give you the equivalent of 1 month's rebate? Even if i transfer my council tax to my new flat, i still have to pay the full 6 months again. Surely this can't be right.
