Hey Piq - I do have an overall total - but am doing what you are doing and prioritising things - so hairy loan first then the nasty cc then the penguin, then if I have any energy the student loan.
Will be glad when lodger boy goes then we can drop some meat dishes a week - I don't understand people who don't do veggies xx
Hope weekend was good xxTotal debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
Total debt as of 28/4/19 £7867.38:eek:
minus 112.06 = £7755.32:money:

I'll go public on the loans when the credit cards are done, it's just too depressing otherwise  I do know the figure for the loans and watch it come down on my spreadsheet!
Veggies are the only way to keep my food budget down. Will be doing a cauliflower cheese pot pie later this week, will get a couple of meals from that and extra pastry for cheese puffs - yum!Total debt at October 2008: £67,213.30

That's a cheery update Fay - lots of good news.
And it reminded me that my garlic has started shoots :j
Still no sign of the broad beans (planted in October.....)
And I got a Haynes manual for DS1's car on freecycle :j
Without being too crude - you need to have a poke around where the broad beans were - a scientific excavation if you like - and see if they are rotten, eaten, alive or dead.
methinks perhaps if they aren't showing signs of life soon - its not looking great. Well done on the garlic front.
I got a Haynes manual with darwin when I bought him - nice chap - very handy things! Might try and find one for the citroen.
Piq - thankfully my kids love veggies - so looking forward to a reduction in meat dishes and cash spent.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

I posted (originally on the OS board) about Lidl becoming so expensive.

I really think I've stirred up a hornets nest!!!!! I'll stick to Tesco's its actually cheaper!!!!!CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. You can enjoy it even if you don't understand it and too much can give you a headache the next day J0 -
Fay - lots of great things going on for you, yay
Although I did smile when I read you did a wee dance in your seat, it conjured up a very different image to the one you intended.....0 -

My veg -patch-to-be has pruned holly branches laying on it! I had a bit of an issue with next door's dog, so I just take them off and put them back when I'm done - of course, it'll keep the cats off too. Been saving grape hyacinth bulbs for all I'm worth, and replanting them where they can grow in peace. I *really* want to grow salad crops this year.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

we've got a fruit tree or two in our patch and some garlic which we found when we moved all the soil from the old raised bed to the new one. i will get some seeds in this weekend coming come what may.
Karmacat, good idea about the holly branches.0 -
Update today
Morning!! Its gorgeous here - off to pick up a computer desk (freecycle) later so will walk the hounds around the headland at stromness - one of my fav walks.
Watching money carefully as I need to budget extra for Darwin insurance (140) and citreon car tax (170) hoping to pay a years worth car tax as it will save £16 quid and i guess it all helps. Keeping the extra loan payments a bit reduced at mo until I figure out that I can pay the other extra things this month. Should get more lodger chap money tomorrow so need be patient and wait before I allocate stuff.
(I seem to remember someone paying extra then rebudgeting and then finding out that they hadn't very much left at the end of the month - trying earnestly not to do that but in my case very likely)
Tea planning is not being embraced by my younglings. But, stuck to my guns - shepherds pie tonight. (with a 5p neep and some carrots)
Making soup before tea works as I ended up only having soup and not curry.
Did a bit of baking last night - however, this has now been scoffed!
Workwise need to revise my introduction - my other supervisor took me in yesterday and asked in hushed tones if I had dyslexia (probably) but I DIDN'T think it was akin to leprosy.
Seedlings are slow but waking up gradually!
