not sure if life is my friend today. work has been lousy, had my birthday treat of hair colour and cut (i'm convinced she's missed a big patch) and nails done and i hate them. Didn't have a choice and if i had of had i would never had them done, and would certainly not have had the colours which were on offer, i feel so ungrateful but really hate them and just want to cry

Tomorrow get someone to check your hair 'outside' in decent light and make sure its OK if its not then go back and get them to sort it - this is not the kind of treat a birthday girl needs. (When is it by the way?) - stamps stripey foot at rubbish treat people........xx

Grrr...connection just crashed out and I lost a post. Bahh!

Lemon Tree - re Northern Rock - I paid off my loan last year in 13 months instead of 30 *takes bow* - I saved up the cash to settle it in a separate savings account as that way, when you do a redemption before the end of the term, you gain back some interest when they give you your redemption figure. I wouldn't suggest paying off a little at a time as you'll potentially get less back this way, plus you might as well have the interest on the money you're saving in the meantime! If you check your original paperwork you'll find that they have helpfully provided guideline mid-term settlement figures so you'll have a rough idea what to aim for. NR are also devils for mis-selling PPI - I put my claim in immediately I'd paid off the loan and they agreed without a whimper! (Girl who took me through the loan application told me that I HAD to take their policy if I wasnted the loan approved!) Hope your hair is OK - as Fay says, go back if not.

    Welcome back Unix *waves*

OK Fay - you can have your diary back now! :rotfl:

Hi Fay, I can't get the idea of Nigella gliding round her kitchen in silk pymamas......and stripy socks! :rotfl:.

Lemon Tree, I think you can be disciplined enough to save up for the paying off of the loan thingy. You have managed to pay one hell of a lot of debt of already, so go for it.

Unixgirl - Sorry that you are still having such a tough time. Just remember to talk to your GP if your mood is consistently down.

You are the only person I know fay that would be cooking willow in their oven lol. But guess what I understood what you were going on about. I guess my OU courses came in handy for something after all.

    Hi chaps

Fay slides round house in pj's and stripey socks in the manner of nigella whilst oozing over making twinks hob nobs before going to work and donning scientist type glasses and a manner of a very thoughtful scientist and endeavours to get to grips with the reasons why willow is so god damn amazing.

*Literature due in on Tuesday am for my first objective (I have 5) - butt is in gear*

Lifts head from the toil of academic papers, school forms and twink recipe and waves hi lots

PS Chev well done for the Nigella image and excellent on the ecology thing. I have a question for you (I am asssuming from previous statements you are in NZ) I have read about the impacts of sawfly insects on Willow (especially in river banks etc) have you heard anything about that in your area?
