changing to broadband +download limits

Hi there, i

I am on the verge of swapping to broadband probably with Madafish 11.99 for 6 months deal with a 5gig donwload limit.

Can you advise is this reasonable limit i will prob only download legal music so how many albums would that be a month?

    This depends on the bitrate of the music you download. A single track could be anywhere (approx) between 3MB and 6MB. If we take an average of 5MB per track, you could get 200 tracks per GB.

    If you consider maybe an average of 1½GB to 2GB per month on your normal surfing (emails, webpages etc). This would leave you enough bandwidth to download 600 to 700 tracks per month.

    These figures above are highly speculative (your normal surfing may take up a lot more bandwidth), but you should have enough room for quite a few tracks.

    it really depends how much you really going use it.
    albums can be anywhere from 200mb to 1Gb depending on quality.
    but i would always go for an unlimited connection, then you have no worries.
    moneysavingexpert has a good deal with EFH £14.50 unlimited.
    being with EFH for a year, no problems.
