RBS bankers in line for millions of pounds worth of bonuses

  • The issue of bonus' is an awkward one. If its a profit share bonus, then there shouldnt be one cus there is no profit this year.

If its a performance bonus then some departments shouldnt be considered (well considered and rejected very quickly) but there are bits of RBS which are working hard and well atm. Namely those putting in stupid hours trying to get them out of this hole (i.e. those dealing with the bad debt other departments have bought in). But these shouldnt be blanket bonuses they should be individual case by case, like bonuses should be.

Agree totally. Perhaps RBS should consider their customers response before proceeding. Should the customer vote wih their feet, a run on the bank could not be stemmed by any amount of taxpayers money,RIP RBS. It would, of course, cause great problems for the country. I think the majority shareholder should call an extra-ordinary AGM, and vote the bonus plan down
