I know that Motability are the largest car leasing organisation in Europe, so they have buying power on their side too.0

You would have to buy a pretty old and very reliable car to get anywhere near that monthly running cost. All you have to do is put fuel in it.
Seriously its the cheapest way of running a half decent car. If you are unlucky enough to be able to benefit from it then i can't see any reason not too.
The only thing i can never get my head round is that if they can do cars this cheaply, why all the other CH companies out there can't get within a country mile of their prices. I don't understand how motability does it.

Well when you put it like that... Got a dealer coming round this week so I can do a test drive. Hopefully, I'll be able to get a bit of my life back!Getting there... A deal at a time. :T0 -
Just a thought, but if you are considering buying a second hand car and using your credit card, some car dealers might charge you 3 or 4% for the privelidge - remember to account for that with your budget.
Honda Jazz would be your best bet - excellent reliability etc.0 -
I have a Yaris and it is good, nice and high but not too high. Its £35 a year road tax too. xx0/2013

I've been looking at the Jazz and Yaris too, and wonder if anyone has experience of how easy it is to get a manual folding wheelchair in and out of the boot. I now have an Audi A2, which I love, but all my carers complain that the boot opening is too high.
I'm having to get rid of the A2 as I now need an automatic but I'd like to solve the wheelchair problem at the same time.
thanks for any help!0 -
The latest A-Class (2005 onwards) is a very very good car, but I don't think your budget would stretch to that which would leave you looking at the old shape pre-2005 models, which are just shockingly bad, don't deserve the 3-pointed star.
See the Honest John page -http://www.honestjohn.co.uk/carbycar/index.htm?md=230
My choice of the three you posted would be the Jazz, which is a cracking little car. I'd also look at the old-shape Mazda 2 which is similar in concept.0 -
There's also a Motability £25 cashback available. See the referrer's thread here or PM me for details.0
