I agree with you. It bugs me to read a post, go to reply then realise the date.
I think threads over 1 year old with no posts in the last say 2 months should be locked....kept for info purposes but not able to post on them.

yes youre right shelly, then people wouldnt feel foolish, and other people wouldnt try to humiliate the person who mistakenly opened the post by
making sarcastic remarks, when there really is no need.

I believe the reason it was opened was because the person doing so has a real bee in his bonnet about insurance companies and claims and just wants to use every given opportunity to complain about them!
