Cheap Mobile Phone Insurance?

Hi,

Does anyone know of a cheap mobile phone insurance provider?

I am getting a new phone and would like it insured but dont really want to pay the £5 /month that Orange charges.

Thanks

Ian

I have cheap insurance that came free with the contract I took out recently. It is worthless, and I will cancel it before the 3 free months are up; it's £4.99 a month after that.

It does not cover consequential losses (ie calls), and claims are limited to the replacement value of the handset. As there is a £25 excess, and I'm pretty sure that the insurers can buy one wholesale for less than that, I do not believe that this is actually an insurance policy at all, as it protects me from no losses whatsoever.

I hope your Orange product is better than this, and I suggest you read any other prospective policy terms fairly carefully.

I agree, cheap insurance probably isn't worth it. Think about if you really want and need insurance. If your taking insurance, go with the network as their policies are the best.

You won't get it much cheaper than that anyway, and Orange Care, from my own experience is fantastic when you need it. Fault, loss anything is covered and its a boxed phone delivered to where you want it the next working day. The networks also cover you for calls etc made if your phone is stolen.
