We went on market in July 2007 - we moved in November 2008.

Would NEVER EVER EVER move house again.
It's not paranoia if they really are after you.

to OP, yes i understand what you feel. i put mine on in June last year, it is now under offer. I dont say 'sold' because im paranoid someting will go wrong, so its sold when i see the money. i had to reduce by 30 odd percent to get that sale.

im now struggling to get an offer accepted on a house i want because the seller thinks that it is still january 08 (and an overpriced january 08 at that). she has not dropped the price in a whole year and expects 10k less than the asking price. its not going to happen

we went on the market fab 08! and got the offer we accepted in Dec. now just waiting to exchange (should be soon!) and move.
    its really hard work.

we dropped the price every couple of months. had about 9 viewers in total. had one offer in the April which fell though.

hope it works out for you. it was when we dropped the price to below anything else locally and then agreed to take a lower offer that we managed to tie things together and negotiate with other sellers.
