I want a Broadband and Free Laptop Deal. Help please!

Hi,
I am looking for a deal to get Broadband and a free laptop with it. I have seen electrical stores doing these deals, but I am unsure what to go for and what is good.

I would like a laptop that is fairly decent, with Windows XP.
Not sure about all the details on it. Would like it to be able to play games or browse the internet without slowing down.

Can anyone suggest anything to me.

How much Gb of ram do I need? Whats advisable?

Which would be the best broadband supplier?

Sorry for being thick!
Thanks
Pies

If you want a laptop not a netbook it will be quite hard to find a laptop with windows XP esp ones that are included with a mobile / wired broadband deal. If you goto PC WORLD you can ask them you want a laptop with Windows VISTA Business (HAVE to be that edition) cause they can be downgraded to Windows XP professional. In fact some of the laptop makers give you the disc to make it easy to downgrade, Lenevo and Dell just to name two. But in your situation it would actually be better to get Mobile broadband and laptop seperate cause the laptop is actually NOT FREE. If you look the monthly charge for the mobile broadband goes up and can make the laptop APR like 30%. And than you cant buy the laptop from the cheapest place which will add even more cost.

About playing games and laptop, if you want to play the latest 3-person shooter you need one with a dedicated graphic card built in, ASUS gaming laptops are a good choice but start from about £500..... Might be worth saying what you want to play, your budget etc... On RAM side want about 1-2GB perferably 2GB.
