AOL and Free Wireless Routers

When I original joined AOL broadband I got a free Thomson Speedtouch 576 wireless router, whilst this has been a good router it i now starting to reboot itself quite frequently and sometimes loses all its settings (Im thinking its on its last legs).
I resigned to an 18 month contract with them for £9.99/month for life and believe I should have got a new router with the new contract but they never sent one. These 18 months are now up at the end of this month.
Is there anyway I can get a new router out of them for free. I am quite reluctant to buy one to be honest as they are fairly expensive.

I'm sure you can quite easily get a free router if u ring them and threaten to leave but the only downside to that will be they will no doubt tie you into a new contract for the privilege.0

Dont bother, I recently left AOL after my router became uncompatable with my computer (I had my pc updated). I phoned AOL asking them to send another router.
2 months later & loads of phonecalls later, nothing had arrived.
When I phone asking for my MAC code they ere reluctant to take my email address to send it & instead tried to get my to sign up to a higher level of broadband & aol phoneline as well.
To which they had no answer when I responded its hardly going to get me on the internet is it, as I am still waiting for a router after 2 months.
Highly unhelpful in my opinion.0
