Thanks dopester. Its obviously hard for us when we don't know what has happened and as I said, I would hope that whoever it was would have the common decency to apologise, particularly given what you have said about how OTT the PM was.

I miss NDG. The board can by its nature be divisive and NDG was always that moderating voice of sanity in the middle ground. I hope that she will return soon.
Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.
  • All this concern for her whereabouts and she's probably on holiday in the sun.

Crikey - 53 posts about NDG in a dedicated thread. She will be pleased :D

I'd take a similar leave of absence if I thought I'd get my own dedicated thread, but I don't think I contribute enough on here to be of 'missable' status when I'm not about :rotfl:

Sorry to hear there was some incident with a nasty swipe and PM tho - I have had similar on here and just laugh it off (it's only an internet forum!) but I know some people can really take it to heart unfortunately. I wonder if it was the same person?

I have also been wondering where NDG has gone.

As others say, she is the voice of calm and reason ...plus she keeps me company on the boards when I can't sleep!

It would be a shame if the attacks on her have had any basis on why she has not been here for the last little while, NDG is not only a calm and likable person online but also in real life.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

The PM threatened the life of her son.

 That's beyond nasty, that's a criminal offence and pretty cowardly to boot. I hope the person concerned has appropriate action taken against them

I wouldn't laugh that off, and would probably stop posting too if it happened to me in all honesty.

Sorry to hear that - I didn't know it was that bad.
  • I got personal attacks from a cretin on here and decided to stop posting. I stopped for around 5 weeks and just had the occasional peek to see what was going on, but I don't think anybody even knew I'd gone. I feel so unloved

Really? Who the hell would say something like that? It's only an internet forum !!!!!!, there are some right bloody nutters out there.

NDG is one of the nicest people I have ever come accross on the internet.

I'm sorry, that's just too unbelievable. I can never imagine a Barrister and a Scouser getting together. :p
    LMAO.

Come back NDG, we miss you!

Here you go Ian, have a platonic hetero-man-hug from me. At least I *think* that's what they're doing in this smiley -
