Not very 'even handed' though are you Pobby? The fact seems to have gone by you that carolt accused me of sending sexual PMs to Old Macdonald during our PM chats about our kiddies. Nor do you mention that she then also logged on with another username and made further accusations that I sent sexual PMs to that person as well? (and let's not pretend you're naive enough to think that a person with 60 odd posts, just so happened to choose that particular time and this particular thread to make their first post in months... :rolleyes:)

You seem to be a little one sided in your condemnation. Or perhaps you feel that sexualising an innocent talk about disabled children is not offensive?

As far as the HRT is concerned, carolt seems to fly from the extremes of posting decent stuff to her current mad rantings. There is some reason for these massive mood swings and I suggested one cause. To be honest I don't really care about their cause, I just wish she'd take her anger out on a treadmill at the gym rather than on people in here. Hence my decision to put her on Ignore.

I have just looked back over the posts DD. There is some mention regarding "saucy" pms, agreed. With due respect I don`t see the bit where carol or anyone was suggesting the reference that you made in your post number 461. Only a twisted person could even suggest it and of course it is highly offensive.

I don`t fully understand this multiple identity login business so I can`t really comment but I do get what you mean.

Maybe I should let you and carol battle it out between you and keep my opinions to myself. Tbh, it`s all getting a bit tiresome.

Apparently, DD can see my posts - he clearly can't keep away.

Anyone who's bothered to reread the posts - not that I recommend it unless they want to die of boredom, though - can quite clearly see that DD is fantasising wildly if he imagines that I was making any reference to PM's between him and OldMcdonald - a lovely poster whom I have great respect for.

I was merely turning chucky's accusation back on him from whom it originated - the reference to 'saucy' PM's

If DD can't take it, he shouldn't dole it out. I was apparently supposed to just laugh it off and ignore it when aimed at me - and anyone who remembers the thread in question - correctly deleted by Abuse - will know that it was deliberately extremely offensive.

A bit tiresome??

This stuff is great. You come in from a day at work and a good ol' bust up seems to have been going on all day!!!

What's also interesting is today has slightly altered my perceptions of a couple of posters.
Seems like DD perhaps has been picking a fight today. Seems like carol responded, and also seems like DD got tied up in knots trying to keep up with her and his various theories on who is who.

All in all a good "discussion" and a good read though.






As an aside (an aside? it's the thread title but as usual in here it all merges into one, another aspect I love) I notice misskool has responded on this thread and said NDG didn't name the person in public.
Can you share misskool if you know the identity of this person, and is NDG's lack of recent posting anything to do with this situation to your knowledge?

On the subject of ignore buttons. Again, it`s a bit like sticking your fingers in your ears and going, lalalalalala, when someone is saying something you don`t want to hear. Never would I put someone on iggy. Seems childish to me. In the same way that multiple log ins are. I have, in the past, got flack for my point of view but that`s fair enough. I don`t feel anyway inclined to have a "sock puppet". Far too old for that.....lol!

This is a bit sad. I feel very alienated by what I have discovered. I doubt that NDG's social circle and mine will overlap much. I socialise with Palestinians and Iraqis, and together with two Arabs I have set up a charity to help Arab families whose lives have been destroyed by US military adventures and US-supplied bombs and other weapons.

I agree. I think it is a bit sad.

Surely the best chances we all have for peace is by regarding each other as normal human beings. I have no idea if NDG also mixes with Muslims as well as Jews, but I would guess that, as part of her work helping refugees and asylum seekers, she probably does it pretty often, if not daily. Maybe you need to see her as the well-liked and rounded individual she is, rather than as some target for some sort of collective guilt.
