It`s pretty likely that I am older than most of the posters here. Thankfully I was brought up by a gentleman who instilled similar values into me. I think some of the remarks made at carolt are not only insulting but very personal. If you posters are male than you should feel ashamed of your selves. Pickled Pink is, so I believe to be female. Most of us already know the low level of her posts so I am not surprised by her.

Oh and by the way, for those that seemed to be obsessed by it, I am not carolts " sock puppet " nor indeed anyone poster in disguise.

    Thanks for making me smile.

I think many who post on here are sadly, not 'gentlemen', by a long stretch of the imagination.

I hope NDG can ignore the last several pages of thread, and not be put off.

I think the forum is lesser for her absence.

Wishing her well, whatever she's up to.

And can I just add......it's anger at the big stuff, the stuff that we can't control, that can drive a seemingly irrational response to events and life situations.

I understand Carolt's anger and I understand that it can be vented in a way that others see as slightlly 'unbalanced'.
Neas, Dopestar and !!!!!! (+ the rest) get attacked for their posts...but their viewpoints are driven from anger and frustration at events out of their control that have had a profound effect on their lives.

I got attacked the other night on a Starbucks thread...then the poster deleted the post. I'm sure, if I read it back, it could seem a bit irrational, but their way of trading is F**ing up my life bigtime....but nought I can do about it...but doesn't stop me getting angry and using a little 'transference' to enable me to cope better with the fallout.

ETA I meant to quote Barnaby Near above the post,..... but I can't now.

Not quite fair, fc, if I understood your post correctly.

My 'anger' is directed at idiots who write abusive posts. Nothing whatsoever to do with their opinions on housing.

I respond to idiots who post abusive posts (with one exception whom I routinely ignore), which is possibly ill-advised, but hardly 'unbalanced'.

I've never, ever written an abusive let alone angry post directed at anyone who didn't attack me first.

I'd call responding to personal smears quite rational and 'balanced', actually.

Good on those who can ignore them, or, as PN does, turn them against herself self-deprecatingly.

    I'm not as witty.

But I do enjoy having the last laugh laugh at the expense of idiots.

I'm just unbalanced......especially more so right now as both middle and youngest son's have had a begger of a start to the year, so I will apologise now for any eeekkk outbursts.

Rather like the tourettes one earlier....
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

The bit that winds me up is that you seem to be kind of scapegoat for certain people...and then it gets personal.
You have srtong views and are entitled to post them...but then it all goes off onto a ''Time of the Month' type barrage.

Anyway....being labelled neurotic is a badge of pride because without the adrenalin that neurotic behaviour encourages the production of, we'd all be vedged out in front of Eastenders....and that would be that. We need to the adrenalin to cope with our day to day existence....well I do.

I am one of the neurotic females who lurk here...and thanks be to God, or I would be attacked for living off The Taxpayer by a Daily Mail reader...vedged out, chomping my Dominoes Pizza and catching up on Big Brother or whatever.

Am ranting tonight as life is NOT fair...it sucks.

Yeah you're right it must just be my perception of carolt.
How many times has she said 'idiots' in the last couple of days?
Is it only me that notices her utter contempt of certain members on here? It actually borders on bullying then she has the cheek to accuse these members of attacking her? Am I missing something here? This is a great forum and i have enjoyed it for years yet she is the one member i just do not get. I haven't actually got anyone on ignore and never have but i think i will put her on. There is definitely something not wired up correctly there and i don't mind that but to constantly belittle members who challenge her intimidating behaviour is beyond me.

Yes I was very disappointed at your reaction to the tourettes comment.
It was nothing personal and she obviously isn't aware your children have this disability. You are probably just tired and you can get irritable when you are tired but i do rather like you so will forgive you on this occasion.

Grow a backbone man....how can you be a car salesman when a few words on an anonymous message board can cause you to cower and run for cover?

Yeah you are right nelly, actually it is the fact that she never responds to my chastizing so i guess she has me on ignore so i am aswell reciprocating.
