I like a joke. I also like NDG. It was a nice thread for a while with people making comments vaguely to do with NDG, and her being missed and wondering where she had gone and why.

Yes it's 'only' an internet name, but some of us make a little bit more connection, rightly or wrongly, with the user who we perceive through their output.

So from my point of view I'd rather see a thread on more serious matters trashed than this one. It seems particularly harsh when some people are saying nice things, for others to be behaving in a less reasonable way.

And this isn't meant to be an introduction for any of those people to leap in and say to me, or their preferred victim - "ooh look - it's all your fault". After all if you want to have a go why not start your own thread.

This thread has brought a tear to my eye! NDG, it must be nice to be so appreciated and I also like your posts!!!

And then it made me think... why does nobody notice when I go away for a few days? What if I was half eaten by an Alsatian?

    (Just joking...)

I think it's a bit creepy to be prowling about at 4:16am personally!

That's when I woke up this morning......and once I'm awake, I'm up & about. To me, it's usual to sleep for 5 or 6 hours. I'd only try to do better if driving for a long time the following day.

As they used to say in the old sex education videos: 'It's perfectly normal.'
(though in relation to what, I'm not entirely sure!)

I don't think Carolt would be able to get Husband Replacement Therapy with a personality like hers.:p

    How's your husband, pickledpink?

    Funny you've never mentioned him.

Lovely girl like you, men must be just falling over themselves.....

    ....to get away.

I don't think you can get PMT 24/7 365/366 days a year
She's just obsessed about never having being able to buy a house because of her various life choices and it colours her view of everything so she tries to turn every point into some supporting fact for how hard done by she is. Everyone else is wrong or stupid if they don't see the world as she does.... if she spent less time arguing how right she is and actually did something to change her situation regardless of the economic cycles it might be more productive but hey-ho live and let live....

I'm not hard done by - I made my choices and I'm happy with them.

But high house prices don't just affect me - they affect lots of people - some in positive ways, like BTL landlords - and others, like would-be FTB's, negatively.

I've never, that I recall, made a personal attack on you, yet you just have on me.

    Why?

No, don't bother answering. I don't wish to know.

    Your problem, not mine.

It's an internet forum, people come people go. But her not being here or the post as nothing to do with house prices, the economy etc anyway.:D

NDG is our market indicator. She's so happy renting, we all know when she goes off house hunting it's time for all of us to pile back into the market!!

Maybe she tipped off people on another Forum - and that's what caused the Halifax MoM increase in house prices!

Blimey this thread has grown since I last looked. NDG has got her work cut out thanking this lot. ;)
  • With a bit more effort we can reach 250. NDG will be so proud of us.
I am a Mortgage Consultant and don't like to be told what I can and can't put in a signature so long as it's legal and truthful.

... yet, at the same time, strangely, very scared.
