  • Hi, I would not bother why dont you just send it for recycling. In this day and age of modern technology computers are a lot faster and easy to use if you know what you are doing. I bought a pentium 4 dell gx286 and have added more memory and a bigger hardrive to it and only paid £35 of ebay for it.If you want to use a free operating system its always better to get a bigger computer or laptop as a lot of the operating systems will not work due to the size of hardrives they required to run them.If you want a free computer then type in google free computer and there are quite a few will give them for free. For all those that are looking for the next version of windows, which is Windows 7,you will need a massive 16GB of hardrive to just to get it up and running. It is currently being tested and supposed to be available sometime late 2009 early 2010.From what I know it is silimilar as the Window Vista, but has a lot more, for those who are running windows vista, there is shortly to be available sp2. If you have not got windows vista sp1 then good advice is to download it now as it has a lot more enhancements, and does sort out all the previous problems with diffrent software that might have not run before. Just make sure you back up your hardrive before you do.Some of you may know that there is a new internet explorer 8. There a lot of changes in the new one, including privacy when going to verious web sites and you do not want the sites to know you have been on it.Its well worth having a look.If you go to www.micorosoft.com once on site type in internet explorer 8. I hope this helps all you techo geeks out there
