Not quite the same, but I had a scammer target me a few years ago for a PSP I sold. It was the usual false email confiming money is held in escrow and will be released with a tracking number.

My pet rabbit had recently had a bedding change, which nicely filled a shoe box. That was £4 well spent on a recorded delivery 2nd class packet....

Hope he didn't think they were raisins......

Some more to add - goodness knows what has happened with the police but here is the latest installment!

    One final chance.

    Refund/Tracking Number?

I will be leaving feebdack negative in 10 minutes no doubts about it

    OK, your tracking reference is:

    whyamIsodumb

    You can track this at:

    idiotsonline.com/ebayscams/xxx.xxxxx

Called the police on me yet? I'll keep an eye out for the chopper and listen for the hundreds of sirens for all the officers they will send!

    You will be prosecuted
    By whom may I ask?

You have me quaking in my boots, honestly.

Didn't you receive your paypal refund?

Of course I will be refunded. Paid with a credit card also which is protected from people like you.

    Communication ended from me

Well, since I've had my fun, I'll let you know the following:

    1. A paypal refund was given to the correct owner of the paypal account on Saturday morning.
    2. The item was never sent as I never received genuine payment.
    3. A data protection request has been submitted to both banks you gave me details for.
    4. This has been reported to strathclyde police who are already talking to East Sussex police.
    5. The banks will respond with the registered addresses for those accounts, the police will then follow up with visits to these addresses.
    6. Charges have been filed for: Fraud, Intimidation, Impersonating a police officer, Harassment under the communications act & conspiracy
    7. The specialised computing crime investigation unit have been informed and are following up on all emails sent to me, they will track via IP address to confirm their suspect.
    8. I've had an absolutely great time at your expense.

    9. Say hello to 'big bubba' in the prison cell, if you're lucky, you might get to become his !!!!!. At least you'll never be troubled with constipation again!.
Treat others as you would like to be treated :A

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, champagne in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming ~ WOO HOO what a ride!

  • Briiliant, well done!! Can you tell us who weve got to block, zincoxide??

Do you reckon the police will actually go there though? You say they have picked the bloke up? Thats amazing if they have, they dont seem to bother with any frauds now. Please let us know what happens. And well done you.
