Charged £76 for BT Home Hub when we were told it would be free with 18 month contract

We joined BT broadband last month, and was told we would get a free Home Hub if we signed up to their 18 month contract, which we did.
I have just received my bill, and noticed that we have been charged a £76.58 'one off charges for BT home hub'
That isn't right is it? Or do they refund it when the contract expires or something? I know some companies do things like that to ensure you don't cancel the contract ... but still £76 is a bit crazy ... I doubt the Home Hubs are worth anything close to that.

BT billing is incomprehensible at the best of times.
I recently singed for a 12 month unlimited evening and weekend calls package.
Its free, you just pay the line rental. However if you don't have a contract its a paid for option.
My bill therefore showed a whole load of charges for the package only to be cancelled out by discounts in another part of the paperwork.
Check your bill details again and if they havn't knocked off the charge elsewhere get on to them PDQ.That gum you like is coming back in style.0
