But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free;)
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.:D
Today i will:
- check online banking -
- update spreadsheets
- transfer quidco money into savings pot - £71:j
- storecupboard lunch and tea-
- laundry hokey cokey for OH
- ironing for me
- reduce, reuse,recycle one thing -
- clean one room tonight so not much to do next weekend
- try and find time for swim and jacuzzi to use gym membership
- aim for no spend day
- sparkle - subdued black and grey stripey socks today
Still freezing here but no sign of more snow despite what weather man says.Hugs to all those feeling poorly or fed up for any reason
hope you feel better soon, and we are half way through the week so soon be weeked again:D Hi to all the regular posters and welcome to any newbies - feel free to post away we may be a little mad on this thread but very nice with it;) .

Morning all!
Love the smilies SM....is that how you picture us all?:rotfl:
Another quiet day for me. little Piglet still poorly...currently laying on sofa under duvet. Not sure whats wrong with him (although NHS direct self help thingummy says he has Hand, Foot and Mouth :rotfl: :rotfl: )!!!!!!
Don't know if I will get to work later. Will wait and see how he's doing. In the meantime:
* Check on-line banking
* Wait for postman - should have two parcels for me :j Photo's from when cousin from NZ was here and Amazon books!
* Heating on low to keep Piglet cosy
* Washing - not at 30'c today as its clothes where Piglet threw up on me last night _pale_
* Dad just dropped in bottle of full sugar coke for Piglet (he's not eating and they always recommend it to replace salts in body etc) and he refused to take any money for it. bargain!
* Check for any surveys
*Storecupboard lunch and tea
Thats about it methinks. Having (another) lazy day!

Morning everyone - love the icons SM
Think I will jump on the bandwagon and steal ideas, so will start with Yorkshire Belle's mantra! Just because work is horrible, I need the money and must not be distracted...
Still recreating the spreadsheet, it died yesterday and no amount of coaxing would bring it back to life, so spent lunchtime downloading figures from accounts. Today's lunchtime will be spent adding the various boxes for petrol, groceries, snowballs and the like - sigh....
Am wearing thick woolly peacock blue tights today, nice and warm but not sparkly
So, today I have or will- bought in breakfast and lunch
- dinner from freezer
- update and recreate spreadsheet
- check online banking
