BT Broadband contract

 Help.

I am at my wits end with BT broadband and their services. I have an internet company so like to have speedy internet connection. I pay for BT business broadband at work, and the residential package at home and also at my parents house. We selected the best option and when we took out our original contract they said that we were paying for a faster connection.

Well last year September I had a call from BT Vision. They sold the Vision idea to me and my husband. It sounded a great deal. They arranged for the BT Vision to arrive and someone had to be in to take delivery. We had an engineer booked so another morning off work. Nothing arrived. I called BT and they passed me from one operator to another. Each phone call lasting longer than an hour. I cancelled my BT Vision as I was informed that I couldn't have it as my BT Broadband line wasn't strong enough to download the porgrammes and I had been sold a product that I coudn't ever have. They couldn't make it stronger because all the cables need updating in the area where we live and they don't know when that will be done. What have I been paying for then if my BT broadband is so slow and I have been paying for the fastest?

I have been charged for my BT Vision and they won't give me my money back. Another two hourly calls to BT who all say we will refund your money or send me a cheque. But all I receive is a BT Vision statement saying that I am in credit. When I agreed to have the Vision I had to renew my BT Broadband contract so I am tied for another 9 months. Any ideas as I would prefer to leave a go to Virgin.

I want to know how to leave my contract and how to get my money back for something that I have never had. Robbing b**tards.

BT are rubbish. ANY ADVICE WOULD BE REALLY APPRECIATED
