  • for those people following this thread then still no news i'm afraid. Also i've just gone to the same link and checked out the policy documents, they're the same as they were originally.

I'm thinking of giving up on Tinky, seems like we can conclude that she was telling untruths on this occasion:mad:

surprise surprise, no sign of tinkerbell getting back in this one! nor brucey for that matter

some porky pies have been coming from the tinker methinks:rotfl: :rotfl:
I've got better thing to be doing with my time than arguing over whether to let your insurance company know whether you've received an SP30 or similar.

I have given my view based on having worked for an insurance company.

I have given my view based on having worked for an insurance company.

That is why everyone is warned:
Anyone can post so always exercise caution when acting on info

When someone who feels qualified posts authoritavely (but incorrectly):
When you take out the policy, you tell them you have no convictions. As soon as a material fact changes, you must tell you insurer. A new conviction is a change of facts.

And is subsequently both challenged then given the word for word proof their assertion was incorrect, then it would be decent to post a "I stand corrected" message rather than just waste even more of their time by posting "I've got better things to be doing......"

completely agree - although it seems this is beyond both Brucey & Tinkerbell
  • Diamond wouldn't know you'd had other quotes with other companies

I was with Elephant - went to them as cheapest quote, having declared I'd had a windscreen claim on all other quotes I had. Took policy out over phone, told about windscreen claim, was told no problem didn't have to put on. Three weeks later had a letter saying I hadn't declared a claim and they want to make me pay more - they therefore must have got this from other companies! Fortunately after blubbing down phone at them, as letter arrived day after a bereavement they decided not to charge me the extra - I challenged them to find a recording of the call.
